How to Steal Other People's Ideas

How do you steal other people's ideas? Simple - Look at the quarterly reports of 'good' fund managers and identify their top stock picks. Most will publish their top 20 holdings every month or quarter and their quarterly reports are readily available on their websites because it is a sort of quasi marketing.

It is well known that fund managers keep an eye on other fund managers. They identify fund managers/competitors in their territory (small cap and mid-cap fund managers in particular) and are monitor their substantial shareholding announcements and top holdings.

That may seem like an invasion of privacy but really fund managers are very happy to publish their top holdings,
